Resides and works in Tura Beach on the far south Sapphire Coast of New South Wales, Australia.

Suzanne Lindhorst is a full time professional artist and has been painting the Australian landscape since age 11. She received her formal training as a mature age student from 1985 til 1988 at Charles Sturt University, Wagga Wagga, New South Wales.

Suzanne first migrated to Western Australia in the mid seventies and returned to NSW in 1980. But the call of the west saw her back in WA in the early nineties. She travelled extensively into Australia’s remote interior and made regular extended painting trips to the North West, being particularly inspired by the rugged beauty of the Kimberley and Pilbara Regions. There her palette dripped with the rich reds, oranges, gold, vibrant blues and soft, deep purples of the western landscape.

She returned to NSW in 2009.

Now, having settled back in her native state of NSW, the remote southern coastal landscape has offered her a very different palette; rich with the vibrant blues and lush greens that are so typical of the Sapphire Coast and the lakes and river systems of the region.

Suzanne considers her intense love for the Australian landscape to be a vital element in her spiritual evolution as a painter. She describes her relationship with the land as ‘a passionate and on-going love affair.’

Her paintings are vibrant expressions of colour - rich in textures, layers and symbols.

Suzanne has had fifteen solo exhibitions, six of them internationally, and has participated in countless group exhibitions. She has won many awards in a career that spans over forty years and she is represented in Government, Corporate and Private Collections in: Australia, UK, Canada, USA, France, Spain, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Saudi Arabia, India, South Africa and Japan.

Her work has been published in Australian and International art magazines.
